In continuation of previous article, today we will discuss important directional zones of East of North East (ENE). This directional zone is also known as zone of entertainment, victory, success, vigor and vitality. It gives motive and also wisdom and energy. (Readers are again reminded that directions of a premises is always seen from center of premises.)

Any kind of cut in ENE portion of premises can cause havoc with one’s wisdom, energy, success and victory. So lots of importance has been attached to this directional zone in Vastu.  The prominent color of this zone is green. The element of this zone is air. On eastern side entrance 2 and 3 are formed here. Two Vastu Gods govern the functioning of this directional zone.

Parjanya is first Vastu God here and governs entrance number 2 on eastern corridor (East 2) of premises.  Psycho medicines are product of this God’s energy power. Fertility of cows is also due to this God’s blessings. If entrance here more daughters are born in family. Plants get good nurturing here. Home with this entrance have females who are bold with strong feelings and outlook. Many a times efforts get wasted here. If kitchen in this area then family starves for funds. Right eye is governed by this God.

2^nd Vastu God governing this directional zone is Jayant denoting 3^rd entrance (East 3) here on eastern corridor which is very fortunate entrance. This God’s energy denotes victory, success, vigour and vitality. Goals get accomplished and native gets name, fame, status and money. Toilets here can have negative effect on kids in their ability to express. New businesses will emerge here and native with this entrance here will have Courage to open new ventures. Right ear is governed by this God.

Vastu Tips of week:

1.      Bedroom here in this directional zone can make a person street smart

2.      Toilet here means shy kids and less expression

3.      Play area, Living room, lounge and dining rooms here are beneficial. People will have courage here.

4.      Entrance door number “East 3” creates happiness, progress, socially popular, status/name and fame but people here also opts for short cuts

5.      Plants are good here. Keep fresh fruit baskets and flowers here or hang a photograph of them here in this directional zone.

6.      It governs rejuvenation, fun, recreation, cheerfulness an energetic living.  While relaxing here can remove mental stress. Listen to music while sitting in this directional zone.

7.      In wellness center, a bath spa, fountain can be made here

8.      In real terms it is entertainment zone.

9.      Servants if they sit in this zone continuously avoid house work and pretend not to do any work due to one reason or other

In continuation of previous article, today we will discuss one of the most important directional zones of North East (Ishan Kone). This directional zone is also known as zone of Lord Shiva. (Readers are again reminded that directions of a premises is always seen from center of premises.)

North East (NE) is known as directional zone of mental clarity, decision making and God’s worship. How a mind thinks and act is decided by this zone. Any kind of clutter or cut NE portion can cause havoc with one’s decision making process. All the critical illnesses emanating from brain have their origin in this zone of premises. So a very special importance has been provided to this directional zone in Vastu.  The prominent color of this zone is blue/black. The element of this zone is water. However apart from water, fire also plays a major part in the part of zone touching eastern side of premises. Two Vastu Gods govern the functioning of this zone.

Diti is first Vastu God and is regarded a mother of all Demons. Diti is wife of Kashyap Rishi and it governs 8^th Entrance on Northern side which is a good entrance for native (each directional corridor can be divided into 8 entrances- thus in total 32 entrance of a premises can be made). This Vastu God controls the left eye of native. Diti God provides farsightedness and removal of duality. It also denotes domination of females in home.

2^nd Vastu God governing this directional zone is Shikhi denoting 3^rd eye of Shiva and fire element. This Vastu God also denotes entrance number 1 on Eastern corridor of premises (also of this directional zone). Ideas get created here. This part of directional zone of North East makes the premises fire and accident prone. Toilets, septic tanks, overhead water tanks, kitchen, stores and stairs in this zone are causes of mental illnesses and problems emanating from brain. It can also block mindsets and cripple decision making power of native.

Since this directional zone is of decision making, mental clarity and brain related sicknesses- a store, kitchen, heavy goods or an overhead water storage tank in this zone can cause immense health problems to natives and in particular to a house wife. Avoid red, maroon, pink color objects or wall paints (it depicts fire element) as it can bring fatal results for natives.

Vastu Tips of week: toilet, stairs, septic tank, overhead water tanks, kitchen, electrical goods and stores apart from heavy goods should be avoided in this important directional zone as this is area of positive and progressive energies. Newlyweds should never sleep in a bedroom in this zone as it will lead to divorce and separation.  Housewives should keep yellow marble slab below Gas stove for good health.

Importance of North has already been discussed briefly last week. Here the importance and salient feature of North of North East (NNE) directional zone will be discussed. (Readers should not forget that directions of a premises is always seen from center of premises.)

North of North East (NNE) is known as directional zone of health. The prominent color of this zone is blue/black. The element of this zone is water. Two Vastu Gods govern the functioning of this zone.

Bhujang is first Vastu God. Bhujang is mythological a snake which protects wealth and it also controls the Left side of neck. It also conserves the medicines and denotes the energies needed for sex. This God is connected with Kundalini and due to energy of this Vastu God the energy remains balanced in the body.

2^nd Vastu God governing this directional zone is Aditi, also known as mother of all Gods. This God provides peace, energy, safety, nutrition and competence and govern the left ear as body part. Imbalance of this God’s energy in this zone makes a person directionless, restless and fearful. In such conditions a person always needs a Guru to guide him.

Since this directional zone is of health, a store, kitchen, heavy goods or a water storage in this zone can cause immense health problems to natives and in particular to a house wife. Cold and cough or chronic cough can infect natives too.

If sick people spend some quality time in this zone then they will recover at much faster pace. Medicines too should be kept in this zone so that they become more effective foe patients.

Since it is water element zone, the red, maroon, pink color objects or wall paints (it depicts fire element) can bring fatal results for natives. The native will become sick and may face huge health problems with regard to head area and more so with neck and left ear.

Vastu Tips of week: people who feel sick, weak, restless and fearful should spend some time here in NNE zone to regain confidence. Lighting of blue colored bulb in this zone can enhance health of native.  Medicines too should be kept here for enhanced effect. Native should keep yellow marble slab below Gas stove for good health of house wife if kitchen is in this zone.

About Vastu: Vastu Shastra is ancient Indian science which not only deals with architecture and designing of a premises but also guides us fully in ideal “Bhavan Sthapatya Kala.” Vastu stands for a harmonious environment which is fully synergized with natural principles. Vastu originated from the Sanskrit word “Vas” which means “to reside.” The basic principles of Indian Vastu can be ideally traced to Atharva Veda and many other ancient scriptures.

It is tragic that we have almost forgotten our traditional “Bhavan Sthapatya Kala” which has been the back-bone of most of ancient structures i.e. palaces, temples, havelis, forts, educational institutions and many other structures. However everything is not lost. Off late people in general have started realizing the worth of Vastu principles and are seeking the help of Vastu Experts in setting their homes and other premises right. New constructions are now shaping up as per Vastu principles as people have started realizing that non Vastu-compliant structures/dwellings are causing illnesses, disharmony and hosts of other problems. Vastu is infact a balancing act between human beings and surrounding nature.

Directions: there are 4 cardinal directions i.e. North, East, South and West. If we subdivide them we add North East, South East, South West and North West to 4 cardinal directions. These 8 directional zones can be sub-divided into 16 and subsequent zones which will be dealt with in these columns at later dates. Let’s take up first the importance of North zone among 16 prominent Directional zones of your home/premises.  

North directional zone: it is the direction of Lord Kuber which determines our wealth, opportunities, new openings and joy of life. The element of this zone is Water and colour is Blue/Black. If job aspirants are not getting calls, business going down then North zone needs to be corrected. Water is enemy to Fire and any kind of Red/Maroom/Pink colour objects or Wall Colors in North Zone may interfere in one’s job openings, new opportunities and business prospects. So remove these colored objects from North direction of your home/premises. It must be kept in mind that directions are always seen from center of your home/premises.

Tips of Week: Mirrors are good in North direction as it helps in new job openings and business prospects. Light Blue colored walls in North zone enhances the prospects of money/opportunities. Money Vaults is good here in North (TIJORI too can be kept here).
